Die Mas Wine Estate, Kakamas, Northern Cape

With hundreds of vineyards next to the Orange River, some refer to Kakamas as the Green Valley of Grapes. We offer a unique wine tasting experience at Die Mas Boerdery, one of the local wine cellars. The farmer and/or winemaker takes you through the wine making process, and you end off the day by sipping on famous Old Hanepoot as the sun sets on the horizon. Purchase a bottle or two from the local wine deli and take a part of the Green Valley home with you.

About Die Mas Boerdery: The farm is situated just 3 kilometres outside Kakamas, directly on the banks of the Orange River. The literal meaning of ‘Die Mas’ in English is ‘the mast of a ship’ - the part of a ship which gives it its driving force to go forward and conquer. ‘Mas’ is also a tongue-in-cheek reference to Kakamas. ‘Die Mas van Kakamas’ with its three-mast ship symbol is therefore a fitting representation of the Vlok family who runs the estate, and who are always striving to be a driving force in the community they are serving.

· TIMES of activity or trip/tour: You can decide when and which days of the week to book your activity or trip/tour. We operate 7 days a week and we only ask for you to book your trip at least 1 day for trips/tours longer than an overnight per itirnary and 3 hours before activities like quad biking, sand boarding and paintball games!

· Group and early bird booking discounts are available; please advice when enquiring from our offices.
