8-DAY NAMAQUALAND & RICHTERVELD DISCOVERY TOUR

NEW

The Richtersveld National Park is the last inviolate nature reserve in South Africa, maybe because of its extreme isolated location in the far northwest of the country. The park borders on the Orange River, which is also the natural border between South Africa and Namibia.

This park is known for its unique landscape and flora. The volcanic mountains bring about the scenic charm, which is further explored in the valleys and plateaus. The flora is represented by an incredible variety of succulents. Some of them are endemic and do not occur in any other place of the world, for example the "Halfmensboom". Curiosity might draw you towards this last, almost untouched part of South Africa. However, this is not easy as this area can only be reached by 4x4 vehicles with appropriate equipment. You are far away from any civilization. Luckily this is not a problem, because we have the necessary equipment and knowledge to offer you an unforgettable adventure.

    10 days Garden Route – August 2011

We didn't know in advance what would be the next stop, where we would sleep. We didn't take the main tar roads but took some gravel tracks. We didn't meet many other tourists. We were just a very small group. For all those reasons I really loved and enjoyed doing this tour. For me, that was the best way to see the Garden Route !Staying next to the Breede River, stopping for some wine tasting, whale watching in Hermanus, Witsand or Plettenberg, hiking on Robberg Peninsula, visiting Cango Caves and ostrich farm, crossing countryside with beautiful canola fields, getting stuck in the sand on a 4x4 trail...

So many unforgettable moments. The other reason why I really loved this trip is that it was also an unforgettable human experience ...thanks to Eben (best guide ever) and thanks to Peter (aka Mad Max) my fellow traveler... such good time we share. Never to be forgotten!

    HAPPY DAYS !!!
